This recognition is a testament to his incredible career and his contribution to the sport of boxing. For Houston, it marks a significant milestone as Reggie became the first boxer to win a world title for the city in 1992.
Raised in the tough neighborhood of 5th ward in Houston, Reggie’s journey in boxing began at the young age of 12, and spanned over 30 years with an impressive record of 44 wins, 25 KO’s, 7 losses, and 1 draw. Reggie, known for his excellent ring movement and footwork, was an extremely well-rounded fighter known for his tactical approach to fights. Fans of the boxer often praise his technical ability, crisp punching, and stamina, making him a difficult opponent for anyone.
