Danielle Sasi Peretz, a Los Angeles native, was in Israel to celebrate the Jewish holidays in 2023. She and six of her family members went to the Nova Music Festival on Simchat Torah, the most joyous day of the Jewish calendar.

Nova was a music and dance festival that attracted thousands of people from all over the world and all walks of life to celebrate music, peace, the environment and life.

At the break of dawn, 6:29am, Hamas terrorists overran the party via truck, motorcycle, and the now infamous hanggliders, to massacre as many people as possible. The atrocities that occurred that day defy humanity and many are too barbaric to even think about.

By the end of the Hamas terrorist rampage, 365 Nova attendees were left murdered. Four of Danielle's family members among them.

It is only by a miracle of God that Danielle is with us today to tell her story.

Danielle Sasi Peretz was born and raised in Los Angeles to Israeli parents. Growing up, she attended Jewish private schools and visited Israel at least once a year to see family. Danielle married her husband in 2022 and had their first born son in May 2023. In September of 2023 they went to Israel to celebrate the Jewish holidays. They wanted to dance the night away at the Nova Festival. That was a day before they were supposed to fly home. Michael Veksel is an Israeli filmmaker whose most recent documentary, "In the Same Boat," premiered in Tel Aviv on October 7th, 2024, on the one year anniversary of the 10/7 massacre. Shabbos Kestenbaum was a grad student at Harvard Divinity School in the fall of 2023. He was there to get an education from one of the most prestigious institutions on earth. The education he got, was not what he came for.

On October 7, 2023, Shabbos, an observant Jew, was astounded by the anti-Israel and deeply antisemitic vitriol that consumed Harvard within hours of the unspeakable atrocities that were committed by Hamas against the Jewish State of Israel.

The university broke out in a horrible rash of antisemitic and threatening demonstrations not just against Israel, but against the Jewish students and faculty on campus, as well. Despite pleas to the Harvard Administration to step in and take action to stop the threats, Shabbos was ignored.

Shortly thereafter, Harvard University President Claudine Gay uttered the famous words to Congress: calling for the genocide of Jews at Harvard was to be tolerated, "depending on the context."

Well, Gay lost her job and now Harvard finds itself being sued by a group of Jewish students--led by Kestenbaum--for violating Title VI and their rights to be protected on campus.
