  • In this episode we answer another audience question about how we stay in touch with loved ones back home. Admittedly, we could always do better. This way of life is packed full of distractions that make the time seem to fly.


    Do we ever feel disconnected from what is going on with our friends and family back in the U.S. Sometimes.


    But what we have really noticed is that feeling connected means a lot more than just talking frequently. We all have to also feel understood in order to maintain relationships. We open up about each losing a big friendship in our lives over the last year. And it didn't have as much to do with being physically removed. It had more to do more with some people not understanding our new mindsets when it came to deciding to knowingly take a huge risk that we knew would make us happier.
