  • Ep.6 Addiction (tobacco, food, alcohol) doesn’t have to win

    Addiction doesn’t have to win, with the right mindset and help, it can be better. I was able to get through tobacco and alcohol, now I’m fighting food addiction, which seems harder since we need to food to survive. It’s all about better decisions and taking some of the options “off the plate”.

  • ep. 3 Sometimes we have to adapt and work with what we have.

    Eating, drinking, anything fitness related, we have often have many options, it's up to us as individuals to choose what is best for us at that moment, whether for just that snack or meal or to work with what our current goal is. I know for me, I am having to be more aware of what I am ordering to drink when out for meals, since getting something out of habit can be easily done so unconsciously. I've learned to just default to ordering water, which so far has helped, plus its normally cheaper that way. 

    RUCKING! I have grown to love what I have done so far and enjoy getting out and doing. Unfortunately this week, I reinjured and injury I never knew I had, being a fracture in my foot/ankle. So with that, I am having to already take a very disappointing break in doing any rucking, hopefully only for a short time. So now, I am having to adapt and work with other options to keep me in the right direction. It may be a blessing in disguise in way, but I'll come back stronger and better.

  • Ep.2 Fell off, but not for long. And rucking for me

    Tonight, it’s about how I made some mistakes and fell off for a few days, but I’ll only let that be a lesson and pick up where I left off, only better. Finally got my rucksack in, I love it. I’m currently carrying a 25lb plate and seem to be off to a good start since this is my first time doing this.
