    Daisy Wall is Director of Government Business for May Mobility, Inc. She joined the organization in the spring of 2022 and works closely with transit agencies, cities, Departments of Transportation and other public entities to build and execute on the vision for safe, sustainable, accessible and equitable transportation for everyone. Wall serves on the board of the Autonomous Vehicle Industry Association (AVIA), and holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and an M.P. in social and political sciences from the University of Cambridge.

  • Mukesh Chatter | Alsym Energy | Today in Mobility

    Mukesh Chatter is the Co-Founder and CEO of Alsym Energy, a battery technology company developing a new generation of high-performance, low-cost, non-flammable batteries to enable a zero-carbon electrified future for all. He is a successful serial entrepreneur with a track record of developing advanced technology products and leading startups from launch to success. Mukesh co-founded Nexabit Networks, a terabit switch/router company, and led the company as CEO until its acquisition by Lucent Technologies. After the acquisition, Mukesh served as the Vice President and General Manager of IP Products at Lucent. Mukesh also co-managed NeoNet Capital LLC, an investment firm focused on funding out-of-the-box, innovative ideas.

    Mukesh was named one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurs of the Year by Red Herring Magazine in 1999, and was named Rensselaer Entrepreneur of the Year in 2001.

    In addition to his role at Alsym Energy, Mukesh serves on the board of MarvelBiome, Inc., a developer of innovative therapeutics to address neuro diseases. He is also on the governing board of the Center of Indic Studies at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth. Mukesh has previously served on Georgetown University’s Parent Advisory Council and the Johns Hopkins University Parents Round Table.

    Mukesh and his wife Priti are deeply passionate about developing affordable solutions to global problems and they have endowed two chaired professorships at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute to support clean water and energy research and development.

    Mukesh received his Master's degree in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.

    Sandra Phillips is a Shared Mobility Architect and Principal of movmi, an award-winning women-owned agency focused on Shared Mobility. movmi builds healthier communities co-creating innovative mobility solutions that increase transportation options, yet reduce dependency on private car ownership.

    Sandra has been involved in over 70 on-demand shared mobility projects worldwide. Her work spans across Mobility-as-a-Service programs, microtransit for rural island communities, as well as numerous micromobility and carshare services, including Superpedestrian, Velib, Bykko, car2go, BMW ReachNow and Evo. Sandra’s approach is rooted in her work experience in Senior Management and Executive roles with Fortune 500 companies, as well as being a board advisor for the past 12 years.

    She is an advocate not only for shared mobility but also for more diversification of the workforce in personal transportation: she is a mentor and jury member of the C40 Women for Climate network, a Coralus Activator and launched the EmpowerWiSM award - an award that recognises female founders in transportation and shared mobility. 
     
    She is a TED talk speaker emeritus, a Clean50 honouree and won the 2021 Change Maker Award by BCBusiness for her work in Metro Vancouver. Sandra is a certified Project Management Professional, holds a MA in Computation Linguistics from University of Zurich, and has been granted an MBA by TrustForte Corporation in NY.

    Michele has over 20 years of experience in the Automotive Industry. Michele serves as ParkMyFleet’s Chief Strategy Officer and provides vision, expansion and strategic direction on their path to becoming the leader in the mobility space. Michele served at the Director of Sales and Marketing and then the Director of National Sales where she increased revenue through relationships with Fleet Management Companies and Finance Companies nationwide.

    Ryan Michael is a senior executive with Michigan’s Office of Future Mobility (OFME) and Electrification. In this role, Michael is responsible for working with key stakeholder groups to strengthen and grow the mobility and electrification ecosystem in the state of Michigan. Michael’s time is dedicated to capturing federal opportunities, collaborating with close partners, and providing executive direction of OFME operations. The OFME functions as a mission-critical effort across the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy; and the Michigan Department of Transportation. 

    Prior to this, Michael served as vice president of Growth and Development at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) where he led statewide business attraction and retention teams to uncover new opportunities for business expansion and job creation. Michael oversaw a staff covering all 83 Michigan counties, all 50 states, and seven global markets. Michael also previously served as director of Pure Michigan Business Connect leading procurement and business development activities that included making new corporate connections, overseeing new partner recruitment and facilitating business-to-business matchmaking initiatives. Under his leadership, the program has supported thousands of Michigan companies and facilitated billions in contracts to qualified Michigan businesses. These contracts, in turn, have created or retained tens of thousands of Michigan jobs.
