  • Tulsa Crime Fight: Violent Decline, Burglary Concerns, and Public Assistance Needed
    2025/04/07
On the morning of Sunday, April 6, Tulsa police responded to reports of a shooting near East Archer Street and North 123rd Avenue in East Tulsa. Officers discovered a male who sustained a gunshot wound to the side of the chest after what he described as a shootout with unidentified suspects in an apartment complex parking lot. The victim reported losing his firearm during the altercation, and the suspects fled on foot. He was transported to Ascension St. John Medical Center and is listed in stable condition. This case remains under investigation, and police are seeking information from the public.

Significant trends in Tulsa continue to show a decline in violent crimes, including firearm-related assaults, which have dropped significantly due to enhanced surveillance and technological innovations such as the Real Time Information Center. However, residential and non-residential burglaries remain areas of concern.

Anyone with information on these or other crimes is encouraged to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers. For emergencies, dial 911.
