A common British evangelical position is: "Of course we're broadly pro-life, but we can't be too sure when it comes to the 'hard cases', we can't be dogmatic or 'black and white' when it comes to rape, incest, fetal abnormality, life of the mother." Is this right? Can we have moral clarity on the hard cases? And does it matter, or is this just "splitting hairs"? Should pro-lifers like me just be thankful for broad agreement, and accept that we won't all agree on the "hard cases"?
