  • Looking For More
    2024/11/05

We will only accept what we believe we deserve.

Classmates, when was the last time you looked at a situation and thought "I deserve more than this?" This month, as we invest in our mental health, I want to invite us to strive for more. To not simply accept what we're used to, but to think about what we actually want; in life, from our jobs, and our relationships, and especially from ourselves.

I know that I did not start making radical changes in my lifestyle, until I realized that I did not have to accept certain things in my life. I could have

    - better physical health,

    - better mental health,

    - I could change the way I thought about myself,

    - and how the relationships around me, made me feel.

That is my hope for all the classmates. Join me in the conversation, as we look for more in life.

    2024/10/31

Classmates, I decided to close this month out with an episode more light hearted and full of laughter. Join author of "Little Black Poetry Book" Aiyana Sha'niel and I for an hour full of nostalgia and laughs. As we await Aiyana's new book "Hood•Child" , we take a trip down memory lane discussing animation, music from the early 2000's and even what it looked like to have your experience invalidated by people who look like you. • The Benefit of Unconventional Faith
    2024/10/22

"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. " Hebrews 11:1

I was originally going to name this episode "Don't Be Afraid of Purpose" but it ultimately ended up being a conversation about how important it is that, as a believer, you are okay with moving in conventional faith. That you are okay with your path looking different from others, with following God even when it doesn't look easy, and that you seek praise from Him, instead of the world around you. I hop you enjoy this episode as much as I enjoyed recording it

  • Proverbs 27:14 with Dr. Kisha Tinson
    2024/10/15

This week, join the conversation with my mom, Dr. Kisha Tinson, author of "Dear Single Mom, God Sees You, " as we talk about our non-profit, the HAVE Inc Foundation, how it came to be, and how we continue to step out on faith.

  • Suit Up! with Valesha Rhodes
    2024/10/08

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the powers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual forces and wickedness in high places." Ephesians 6:12

This life is a battlefield and most days are a battle against anxiety, fear, and our own thoughts. As we create more intentional efforts towards our dreams, purpose, and ambitions, we have to reflect on the foundation we're standing on. In my experience, God has been the solid rock to stand on. Join the conversation as Valesha Rhodes, host of The Venusian Vault, gives us a look at her foundation, her testimony, and how her relationship with God affects how she views herself, her goals, and her vision.

  • Leave Things You Outgrow
    2024/10/01

Classmates! Did y'all know, that when a baby snake grows up, it sheds its skin? When they grow out of a space, they leave. Actually, they shed 4 to 12 times a year. We could learn a thing from them. What makes us think we have to stay at the same job, in the same mindset, with the same people, and never have the urge to grow. This week, we are shedding old skin and leaving things we outgrow. That includes jobs, relationships, and any environment that does not honor God, and the person you’re becoming! Admittedly, its easier said than done, but as we continue to invest in ourselves, we will continue to grow. When that happens, some habits, routines, and people, won't make this part of our journey. So join us this month, while we dive into our faith, purpose, & ambition, and grow into the people we want to be.
