  • The Iron Coffin, Part 2
    2024/09/11

Part 2 of our story of the HL Hunley!

Have you heard of the first submarine to sink an enemy ship in combat?

The HL Hunley was the pride of the Confederate, built to fight the Union’s blockade on the South during the Civil War.

During her time, she took three crews to a watery grave, was raised from the depths by scuba divers, and earned the nickname “The Iron Coffin”.

This is the story of HL Hunley.

  • Severed Feet of the Salish Sea
    2024/06/10

In 2007, a severed foot in a running shoe was discovered on Jedediah Island, BC.

A week later, a second foot was found… a foot from a different victim. In the next year, 5 more severed feet would be discovered. At the time of this episode, 21 feet have been discovered across the Salish Sea.

These discoveries have sparked global conspiracies, horror stories, and inspired crime writers in Norway. But what is the truth behind these morbid discoveries?

How did this begin? Where did these feet come from, and will more be found in the future.

    2024/02/05

On the evening of November 18th, 2013, Allen Fletcher was captaining a boat for a couple who were sailing to Bellingham, WA. After docking on Whidbey Island for the night, Fletcher left the boat, and was never seen again.

Not until 2023 when two scuba divers discovered a drivers license, a jacket, and human remains.

In this episode of What We Sea, we'll hear the incredible story of how Allen Fletcher made it home to his family.

Footage of Langley Harbor, where our story takes place, can be found on our new YouTube Channel!
