  • 018 - Eli Weinstein, Adding Inspiration, Motivation and ELIvation To Your Everyday Life

    Eli is a Social Work therapist (LCSW) who has worked in a psychiatric Hospital, intensive outpatient clinics and currently works in a group and private practice. He created ELIvation to fill a need to help those in struggling times and add some extra inspiration and motivation into everyday life.

    Eli has been featured on the Kelly Clarkson show, IVF Warrior, Fruitful, Breaking Taboo and on multiple podcast ranging from parenting, relationships, mental health and infertility

    His main goal is to help people on their journey to add support, care, empathy, expertise, and insight. He run events, seminars and individual coaching on topics from mental health awareness, public speaking coaching, relationship coaching and confidence boosting.

    In this episode, Archie and Eli start the conversation around the way that COVID brought a lot of existing issues to the surface for a lot of people. A lot of mental health clinics have seen a rise in requests for treatment. Although many facilities currently have waiting lists, teletherapy has created wider access to mental health treatment. Eli dispels the myth that you’re stuck with a therapist once you start seeing them and shares some things to consider when you’re trying to find a therapist that’s a good fit for you.

  • 017 - Zach Rutledge, A Journey into “The Official Depression Relief Playbook”

    Zack S. Rutledge is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an ACE Certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and a Certified Brain Health Trainer through the Functional Aging Institute. He has a black belt in karate and has practiced yoga for almost a decade. He holds an MA from American University in Washington, D.C. and starts his Licensed Professional Counseling grad program in January of 2022.

    In this episode, Archie and Zach talk about the power of sharing your message from the perspective of both lived experiences and science.They discuss the importance of getting more men involved in the conversation around mental health to address the lingering stigma . Zach also talks about the path forward being different for everyone because we all think differently and how the delivery of a message could resonate more with some depending on who its coming from.

    Will has the privilege of serving as Delta Zeta Sorority’s Chief Safety Officer and serves students and volunteers by providing educational resources around alcohol use, drug use, sexual assault prevention, victim/survivor support, crisis management, mental health/wellness topics and culture change. Will’s approach to the fraternal movement has been called direct, authentic and comedic. Holding degrees in community/public health and adult education, Will approaches health and wellness using public health framework for simple, scalable and sustainable impact.

    In this episode, Archie and Will start the conversation around transformation and what gave Will the internal motivation to make positive changes during the pandemic. Will recalls the first time that he was able to be himself authentically without being judged. He also discusses the process of learning to inventory his emotions and differentiating his actual feelings from the feelings he acted out on stage.

    Jay Thooft a mental performance expert, coach, and teacher with a background in high performance psychology and is the founder of Performance Excellence & Recovery Consulting (PERC) - a consulting firm dedicated to providing developing athletes the tools necessary to elevate their mental game and perform in the face of stress, pressure, and adversity.

    PERC rapidly became an industry leader in setting the standard for high performance psychology training for developing athletes in the Greater Denver area. To date, Jay oversees the mental performance training for 16 youth sport organizations and impacts approximately 5000 athletes, parents, and coaches every year. With experience working with athletes and performers at the Olympic, National, College, and High School levels, Jay looks forward to bringing his almost decade of experience in his mission to help you achieve higher levels of performance!

    TrainWithPERC is a reflection of Jay's mission to increase the accessibility of high performance psychology training so any athlete has the opportunity to show up and perform their best in the moments that matter most.

    In this episode, Archie and Jay discuss Jay’s experience with high performance athletes and how being around individuals that demanded so much of themselves really shaped him.     Kathryn Burmeister is an attorney and a tireless advocate for her clients. As a human being, she channels her passion for others into animal rescue, charities, and other causes. She is an entrepreneur, author, and speaker on beating adversity and women’s self care.

    A native Atlantan, Kathryn has lived in Woodstock since she was two. An only child, she is of English, German, and Scots-Irish descent, and the second in her family to graduate college, earning her bachelors and law degrees from Mercer University.

    In this episode, Archie and Kathryn start the conversation around Kathryn’s profession as an attorney. Kathryn shares some of the experiences and events that eventually led her to suicidal ideation. They discuss some of the shocking statistics around suicide in America and how to reach out to family, friends and coworkers when they aren’t showing up in their usual way.

    James Bullard is a wandering artist with deep Southern roots and fiery passions for tight harmonies, TIDE football, and family—both blood and made. Armed with aggressive optimism and a kick-ass tenor voice, he enjoys life to the fullest wherever it may take him and he is grateful for the opportunities. From Alabama to New York City, Charlotte to Vegas and all around the world, James has made every stop a stage and many a star and streetlamp a spotlight. Bitten early and hard by both the travel and acting bugs, he set his sights on seeing and doing as much as he could pack into the years he’s been given. Following a "husky" youth, James shares his knowledge and experiences with others on similar fitness journeys. From entertainment to real estate, James’ vocations have often mixed business with pleasure. Now fully vaccinated and ready to roam, he’s looking forward to getting back to work with The Adventure Dudes, a frugal travelers’ blog he runs with his friend Andrew.
