  • Everyone wants to find themselves but so many of us are drowning in the rat race. Suffering from burnout, battling self sabotage, desperate for change. My aim is to inspire you to take the scary steps towards the life you deeply desire. I'm Carla and I'm done censoring my voice. I have “taboo” topics to discuss that aren’t welcome elsewhere. I believe that sharing is the first step to healing. This is the unfiltered truth. Expect a raw insight into my experiences, and those of my guests, on topics such as trauma, shame, relationships, mindset, abuse, addiction, confidence, self love and more

  • Ep. 27 How to Tap Into Your Body’s Intelligence
    2024/09/04

You know that deep, instinctual feeling when you sense something is about to happen—like anticipating a breakup or receiving bad news—before it even occurs?

That's your body’s intelligence at work, particularly how the heart can perceive events before they happen.

This is exactly what I want to touch on in today's episode using both personal stories and scientific research.

Your body holds an innate wisdom, and by simply sitting in silence for just three minutes each day, you can start to tap into this powerful resource within you.

    Timestamps:

    - 00:00 Introduction and overview of the episode's focus on the body's intelligence

    - 01:24 Personal reflections during a challenging week, sober september, anniversaries, and starting Gabor Maté’s course

    - 05:45 Starting The Wave Effect and the importance of sitting with silence

    - 07:43 Working with the energy of the moon

    - 10:43 Exploring how the body and heart can sense and predict events, supported by research from the HeartMath Institute

    - 13:48 Examples of intuitively knowing something bad will happen before it does

    - 16:59 Building trust in yourself and speaking about your problems

    - 21:05 Further examples of the heart and body’s intelligence

    - 24:40 Reflecting on how trauma and grief manifest in the body and recognising these signals

    - 26:01 Understanding what different body parts are connected to emotionally and physically

    - 28:10 Reflections on the transformative power of somatics

THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP TO THE WAVE EFFECT!

This is a transformative four-week course that will connect you with a community of like-minded women and explore the practices that have been life-changing for me.

If you’re interested in joining, you can sign up here

Thank you so much for tuning in!
