Gooney Birds foght for freedom all over the world, from the Hump to landing troops on D-Day and Market Garden, to saving lives by evacuating wounded to safety everywhere. They flew the Berlin Airlift and then got a whole new role in Vietnam as Spooky gunships and they just keep on flying and working to this very day!
