  • If a billionaire donates money to a good cause, does that make them a good person? Hosts Emily Walsh and Daniel Moss are two married millennials who learned about financial crises by living through them, and now they’re diving into the wild world of the uber rich. They discuss financial crimes, the breakdown of the American dream, and why funding a museum doesn’t necessarily make you a good person. They get into the old timey rich, like the Rockafeller family, and current events, like why you might not want to shop at Walmart. Each week they’ll dive into a new wealthy person, give you the rundown on their lives, whatever “good things” they’ve done in the past, and why they might be a bummer.

  • Coca-Cola Part Five- The Sparkle of Death!
    2024/11/12

This is the exciting final chapter in our Coca-Cola Story! We are getting into the Good stuff in this episode. Coke's fight with Pepsi is ongoing. Trying to combat the Pepsi Challenge, Coke decides to roll out a brand new soda to replace their flagship drink called New Coke. It was an absolute disaster and they were forced to quickly backtrack.

Then we get into some very yeetable offenses. From violence against union organizers in Guatemala and Columbia, to depleting the water table in arid parts of India.

Coke finally takes heat for its contribution to the obesity epidemic.

We do our best to actually discourage the drinking of coke in this episode

    Enjoy!

  • Coca-Cola Part Four- Not a (soda) Jerk
    2024/11/05

We are moving through the decades of the Coca-Cola company this episode. Starting at the beginning of the thirties and ending near the end of the 70's. Pepsi has finally entered the scene. We talk about a one sided rivalry that eventually turns into an actual competition. Pepsi is giving scrappy younger brother energy and Coke is ignoring them AS HARD AS THEY CAN.

We talk about secret government coca farms, Coke Going to War, Nazi Fanta, and the time that Robert Woodruff got his good Friend Dwight D. Eisenhower to run for president!

    Enjoy!
