Finally getting into the new year, here's our latest 10-questions contribution. And, as we suspected, Adam misidentifies the organ played by Booker T. It was a Hammond, not a Wurlitzer. (So embarrassing.)

During one of the 50ish hours when we had a chance over a Christmas holiday gathering, we revisited this annual recap tradition with all family members, including Sam's podcast debut and quick cameos from Gus and Nina. Rather than being one more thing-to-do in the midst of the visit, this was just a great part of the holiday gathering. Categories include notable reads, sights, sounds, places, practices, quotes, and wildcards. You'll just have to listen to hear our answers, but there's educational content including the meaning of "epistolary", proper hydration techniques, names of monthly full moons, music recommendations, features of desert treks, and much more.

Representing Gen X and Gen Z, Adam and Reed consider the nature of jobs, careers, and working. We compare how we each have gotten jobs, how we experience our work, and what we aspire to in our futures.

After a long pause we're back with a new 10-questions episode. We don't think we've asked any of these questions of each other in the past, but we also know that we can't really remember. At least the answers are different -- and surprising.

A 10-questions episode after a long pause in our mouthsounds production cycle. It was simply nice to touch base and talk about things that matter--and a lot of things that don't. A longer recording but we had a lot of unimportant things (spleens, hair in food, PhDs, etc.) to catch up on.

It's now a tradition: Reed and Adam welcome special guests Anna and Karyn to review the year's notable, memorable, and otherwise "best" events, occurrences, and revelations. It's better than writing a Christmas card and more fun to talk to one another about our collective experiences in 2024.

After recording this, we all talked about how much was left out or could have better described, but it's also noteworthy that a lot of what we got to highlight pulled out memories from the past 12 months, as well as a few surprising reflections and recollections.

Reed's in town, so that prompted this typical 10-questions structured episode in which we surprise one another with curious prompts about life's great mysteries. What kind of fish would you be? What Muppet would you travel with? Revealing truths about family members, aspirations, mantras, and so much more that the world was without until we'd recorded this. Enjoy.

The 4 c's, one might say. Or just a random assortment of what life dishes up to put into a review episode. Originally we conceptualized a review of our day-to-day worklives, and then we'd realized that a review of cribbage would be interesting, and then we thought that probably we'd be drinking coffee while recording, and then there was this impromptu story about Reed's flat tire. That's all to say that we had a chance to talk about both the things we'd planned for and all the random tidbits and we had a very nice conversation and it's exactly what we needed.
