  • All my life, my parents have told me not to open the basement door, but I got curious and disobeyed them.
    2024/10/02

    By u/DayerethDdraigson

    Transkript:

As long as I could remember, the basement door was always off-limits. My parents always warned me not to go near it, not to open it. They said there were dangerous things down there, things that I wasn't ready to see.

But as I grew older, curiosity got the best of me. One day, when my parents were out, I couldn't resist the urge to see what was behind that forbidden door. I crept down the stairs, my heart pounding in my chest, and reached out to turn the doorknob.

The door creaked open, revealing a dark and musty room below. As I cautiously stepped inside, my eyes fell upon a glowing ball floating in the center of the room. It shimmered and glowed, casting an ethereal light that illuminated the space around it.

I couldn't tear my eyes away from the ball, mesmerized by its beauty. But as I reached out to touch it, a searing pain shot through my hand. I recoiled in shock, only to see the ball begin to pulsate and grow brighter.

Suddenly, a voice echoed through the room, sending chills down my spine. "You were warned," it said, the words reverberating in my ears. And in a blinding flash of light, the ball exploded, sending me flying back through the basement door.

I lay there, dazed and confused, as my parents rushed in to find me. They helped me to my feet, their eyes filled with worry and disappointment. And as I looked back at the glowing ball in the sky, now fading into the distance, I realized the true meaning of their warnings.

Some things are better left unknown, and some doors are better left unopened.

  • I jokingly called out my name.
    2024/09/25

    By u/CanadianBallMapper

    Transkript:

I was alone in my apartment, just trying to lighten the mood in the empty space by jokingly calling out my name. It was meant to be a silly moment, a way to pass the time as I waited for my dinner to finish cooking in the oven. But when I heard a voice respond from the other room, my blood ran cold.

I froze, my heart thudding in my chest as I tried to process what had just happened. I knew I was alone, there was no one else in the apartment with me. So who or what had just mimicked my voice?

With trembling hands, I slowly made my way to the other room, my breath catching in my throat as I saw no one there. The silence was deafening, the only sound being the ticking of the clock on the wall. I searched every corner, every closet, every nook and cranny but found no one.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized that something was in my apartment with me, something that could mimic my voice with chilling accuracy. Panic set in as I frantically searched for any sign of an intruder, but there was nothing.

I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, of being followed by an unseen presence. My mind raced with fear, unable to comprehend what was happening. And then, just as suddenly as it had begun, the voice spoke again.

"Who are you?" it whispered, sending a wave of terror crashing over me. I knew then that whatever was in my apartment was not human, and I was not safe.

I grabbed my keys and fled, leaving everything behind as I ran out into the night, my heart pounding with fear. I never returned to that apartment, haunted by the memory of my own voice calling back to me from the darkness.

  • The working class was finally eradicated.
    2024/07/17

    By u/BreadmanJoestar

This Episode is, except for the original author above, generated by AI!

    Transkript:

With the working class finally eradicated, the elites found themselves at a loss. The backbone of society was gone, leaving only a pile of bodies in its wake. As the dust settled, the remaining elite members turned on each other in a desperate bid to fill the void left by their former laborers.

Arguments broke out, alliances were formed and broken, and chaos reigned amongst the once powerful elite. Without the working class to support them, their world crumbled around them. The streets were empty, the factories stood silent, and the once bustling city lay in ruins.

As the dust settled, a new hierarchy emerged. The most ruthless of the elite had come out on top, but the price they paid was steep. Without the working class to keep them afloat, their power was a hollow victory.

And so, in the end, the eradication of the working class had not brought about the utopia the elites had envisioned. Instead, it had left them stranded in a world of their own making, a world devoid of life and hope. The once proud rulers now sat in their empty mansions, wondering if their greed had been their downfall.
