  • Reminiscing times in Brunei
    2024/02/18

In the heart of Brunei, where lush rainforests meet the South China Sea, we embarked on a remarkable adventure. For those few months, Azeez Jaafar and I were inseparable—partners in crime, explorers of hidden trails, and dreamers under the tropical moon.

We reminisce about the laughter echoing through the bustling markets of Bandar Seri Begawan, the scent of durians lingering in the air, and the warmth of friendships forged over cups of teh tarik.

But our story doesn’t end there. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we carved our paths—one step at a time. Azeez, with his unwavering determination, and I, with my camera capturing every sunset and sunrise.

Together, we navigated life’s twists and turns, celebrating victories and learning from setbacks. From the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque to the Ulu Temburong National Park, Brunei etched its magic into our souls.

And as we sit here, miles apart, our hearts still carry the whispers of Borneo. Azeez, my partner in crime, you taught me that growth isn’t just about reaching summits—it’s about the journey, the connections, and the memories.

So, dear listeners, join us as we unravel tales of Brunei—the land of golden mosques, proboscis monkeys, and dreams that stretch beyond the horizon.

Remember, every chapter of life leaves its mark, and Brunei imprinted ours in hues of green and blue. 🌿💙🎧

  • 5 habits to start/stop in 2024
    2024/01/06

In today's episode, Azeez and I discuss the top five habits to quit, and the top five habits to start in 2024 for a better muslim mindset. Gratification is one of the best habits to start in 2024 as it is to remind that we are more than fortunate than those in need especially in Gaza right now. Naturally, at times we may wonder whether it is truly beneficial to be grateful to God. In the Quran, God answers, “If you are thankful I will add more (favors) unto you but if you show ingratitude then my punishment is terrible indeed” (14:7). This verse proves that our gratitude is beneficial for us alone, and our ingratitude is harmful to us alone. The intelligent individuals who comprehend this basic teaching of Islam are referred to as those who are wise, who possess a mature and comprehending intellect.
