Kyle is very excited today; he gets to look at the books Mr. Parker donated to his library. They are old and mysterious books. As he goes through the books, Kyle's attention is suddenly attracted to a particularly old and dusty book. As Kyle starts reading, a strange thing happens. He is dragged into the book and lands in a strange place, a place where he has never been before.

Throughout history, crystals scattered across Tridea have been used to aid in the use of good and evil. When the crystals turn dark, an evil force of shadow soldiers and humans set out across Tridea. Meanwhile, a small group of travellers set out on a reconnaissance mission to find the humans. But when they find an unexpected prisoner and a secret about themselves, a power is awakened deep inside. Learning who they truly are is easy, but knowing what the darkness holds for them is another thing.

Petey always wanted to go to the moon. He would sit outside and wonder what it was like to be up there. Would he meet the man who resided there? What sort of people lived there?

Petey is afraid of the dark. Every time he closes his eyes, he sees monsters, ghouls, trolls, and ghosts. What if they try to eat him? What if they take over his kitchen? As Petey pulls the blanket over his head, he envisions a monster under his bed. Then, a crash sounds just outside his bedroom. What is poor Petey to do?

It's raining outside and Petey is bored. There is nothing to do. A noise escapes from his closet. What is it?

Petey has always wanted to explore the sea. So he puts on his snorkel and fins and dives right in. He swims amongst seaweed, fish, and crabs eating crepes, but what else will he discover on his underwater adventure?

Petey is looking for his shoe, but when he finds it, there is a spider inside!
