Which makes sense—it's hard to come off looking good with a story about how great you are in the sack. But on this episode of Hot Mic, we'll hear two good sex stories where everyone leaves happy and maybe even a little better off. Our first storyteller, Waverly Jane, moves from her conservative upbringing to a place that is both very sexy and very cold.

Whether she's reminiscing about the spartan conditions on a caravan holiday in the fifties, or describing her less-than-spectacular prowess in a nineties' gym, her wonderfully accurate wit is always a delight.

The youngest child of debtor William Dorrit, Amy is born in Marshalsea prison. She and her father are befriended by Arthur Clennam, whose mother employs "little Dorrit" as a seamstress. The fortunes of the Dorrits undergo an extreme change when William inherits a fortune, and the family move to Italy. Back in England, Arthur Clennam finds himself the victim of a massive fraud and ends up in Marshalsea. There he is found by Little Dorrit, whose fortune has had no effect on her generosity and humility.

[Contains explicit content] Jonah Ray (Mystery Science Theater 3000, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail) is the exact sort of guy you would expect to find working in a record store. You might also expect that 9/11/2001 was not a great day to have to go to work, but what you might not expect is that Jonah's workday had its own unpleasant surprises. Tragedy plus time equals comedy and host Eugene Mirman brought Jonah into the studio to go over his experiences on that infamous day.

Hear her story and the questions it raises for our curious host, who refuses to put a cork in it and leave a story unexamined.

Eugene Mirman ventures once more into the Great White North to hold court over another night of storytelling at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.

SF Sketchfest is an annual comedy festival where titans of humor descend upon the quaint township of San Francisco to mercilessly pummel audiences with all forms of live comedic performance. As far live storytelling goes, the King Kong of questions and comments is indisputably Eugene Mirman, and he brought three monsters of comedy onstage to split sides and take names in a special live Hold On at SF Sketchfest 2018.

Michael Ian Black (Wet Hot American Summer, The State) admits to being conservative in his proclivities, but on his honeymoon to Amsterdam, he decided to give marijuana a try.

[Contains explicit content] Mark Normand doesn't have a filter: in his stand-up he isn't afraid to dip into darker topics and shock laughter out of audiences. When Eugene Mirman brought Mark into the studio to tell a story, it came as no surprise that things went to several dark places: a bad break-up in a tiny apartment, the bottom of a bottle or two, and a homeless shelter.

Dana Gould (Stan Against Evil, The Simpsons) is a comedian of note, sometimes credited as the progenitor of alternative comedy, but anyone who has heard his act or his podcast, knows that he's big into horror and sci-fi movies.
