Mark Forster's book Get Everything Done and Still Have Time to Play took an entirely new approach to time management. One of his most important points was that once we have taken on a commitment, prioritising does not work because we need to do everything relating to that commitment. In the six years since he wrote the book, as he has reached thousands of people through writing, seminars and coaching, he has continued to develop and refine his methods. He has now perfected even more effective methods of getting everything done through the introduction of some radical new ideas.

Cambridge philosophy student Rickie Elliot—an orphan, lame in one foot—wants to be a writer. The promised cure for obesity turned out to be the catalyst that made the Black Death look like a quiet Sunday stroll. The story from which this collection takes its title describes the adventures of an imaginative boy who discovers an omnibus that enables him to travel to the past in the company of famous historical personages. When at his invitation, an incredulous adult accompanies him on a journey, the astonishing new vistas unfolding alarm the security-conscious older man, who wishes himself back in his comfortable suburban home.

Representing every phase of E. M. Forster's career as a writer, the fourteen stories in this book span six decades–from 1903-1957 or even later. Only two were published in his lifetime. Most of the remaining stories remained unpublished because of their overtly homosexual themes; instead they were shown to an appreciative circle of friends and fellow writers, including Christopher Isherwood, Siegfried Sassoon, Lytton Strachey and T. E. Lawrence.
