Merryn Glover was born in a former palace in Kathmandu and grew up in South Asia. She went to university in Melbourne, Australia, training as an English, drama and dance teacher and has worked in schools and community groups in Australia, India, Nepal and the UK. She currently works in a high school library in the Highlands of Scotland, tutors creative writing and leads reflective retreats. Also a playwright and poet, her work has won awards, been published in anthologies, magazines and newspapers and broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland and Radio 4. A House Called Askival is her first novel, with a second on the way. A skilled trainer and presenter, with experience across age groups and abilities, she is always keen to meet readers, deliver workshops and talks and perform her work.
