An odd choice for sure, but we took a gamble and Jane Austen had never steered us wrong before. This 2016 film has almost none of the traditional markers we love from a Jane Austen adaptation: nasty, manipulative women, buffoonish men, and throuples. It was definitely the wildest of rides.
