  • Willpower and Food Challenges - 7:9:24, 4.21 PM
    2024/08/19
This episode comes from a listener request. Our friend wrote about a podcast he was listening to and a concept of using will power to overcome eating issues. He was stumped that they were talking about how you can't use willpower to overcome eating issues and was wondering what we thought about that!
Well friend, we definitely agreed with the pod you were listening too. If willpower is used for exercising personal choice and personal power without negative feelings, and because you want to experience something other than what you have been, then yes, we can work through eating issues. But when willpower is used as a way to "force" or "will" yourself out of something, this isn't going to work as well.
Listen in as we break this down!

    2024/07/08
We break down so recent bogus claims around weight loss, probiotics, and fiber and sugar. In the huff of our madness around these topics, we failed to mention where natural sources of inulin can be found. Below is some clarity on other areas that inulin is found naturally:

    - garlic
    - asparagus
    - bananas
    - artichoke hearts
    - Beware of powders and large added amounts in foods... as these can cause cramping and gas. This is a classic case, that more at one time is not better.
