  • Ep. 5: Narcan in Our Community

    In this episode, Kaycee and Sara sit down with Tara, TriCounty Health Department's Health Promotions Supervisor. Tara manages many prevention programs and discusses the importance of Narcan within the community. Narcan, or Naloxone, is a medicine that rapidly reverses an opioid overdose. Narcan can quickly restore normal breathing to a person if their breathing has slowed or stopped because of an opioid overdose. They discuss the process of administering Narcan, who and what situations it is safe for, and why it is important for the general public to have on hand.
