  • Boundaries: Part 3 - The 4-Step Process for Setting & Communicating Personal Boundaries
    2023/11/21

We all know setting boundaries is important, but doing it in a way that actually sticks is easier said than done. In the third installment of my boundaries series, I break down the exact four-step process I use to set boundaries that others will respect.

First, we talk about coming at the conversation with the right energy. Are you feeling calm and grounded or frustrated and resentful? I explain why your emotional state matters. Next, we tackle what words to use and common phrasing mistakes to avoid. I share examples of effective boundary-setting language.

Then it’s time to look at timing - why when you initiate the boundary chat can sabotage or solidify the outcome. Finally, we discuss the importance of reasonable expectations. What’s achievable from the other person? How can you best set yourself (and them) up for success?

If you struggle with boundary-setting (and let’s be real, who doesn’t?), this step-by-step guide will help you become more confident in expressing your needs while preserving relationships. Tune in to learn the tangible strategies that can completely change your ability to set healthy boundaries.

  • Boundaries: Part 1 - Defining Boundaries & Debunking the Misconceptions That Keep You From Setting Them
    2023/10/09

In this week's episode, I'm talking all about boundaries - what they are, what they aren't, and why they matter. Many of us struggle with boundaries and have misconceptions about what healthy boundaries look like. I'll share a personal story that showed me how rewarding setting a boundary can be (even if it's the hardest thing you do) as well as my unique definition of boundaries.

Boundaries are not walls meant to keep others out. They are more like a road map - helping others to navigate our unique landscape. Boundaries allow connection while still protecting your physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Common misconceptions about boundaries lead many of us to avoid setting them at all. I'll clear up some of those myths and parts 2 (and maybe even 3) will dive into how to recognize what boundaries you need to set, how to communicate them, and how to reinforce them.

Don't miss this multi-part series on one of the most protective and rewarding self-care skills you can embrace.

    2023/09/26

One of my favorite topics to talk about is our hearts. The heart is a fascinating organ that not only keeps you alive but communicates with your brain and the brains of those around you. And this communication is governed by hour emotions. The quality of the emotions in your heart impacts your cognitive functions like attention, perception, memory & problem-solving.

In this episode, I share some mind-blowing science and data that prove the heart can learn, remember, and communicate.  I also teach you how you can practice Quick Heart Coherence for better health, clarity, performance, and relationships.

    Today's Questions Prompts:
Feel free to journal about these, talk to a friend about them, or better yet - email Sabrina at hello@iagreewithmyself.love with your answers and insights.

    1. When I say "heart-centered" do you know immediately what that feels like in your body?
    2. How often do you feel like you're communicating from a heart-centered space?
    3. What is one person, situation, or memory that you can always think back on in order to ground into love and gratitude for your Heart coherence practice?

In this episode, I make the argument that self-forgiveness is not only more important than giving or gaining forgiveness, but it's also essential for living a successful, optimistic, and self-compassionate life. I also share the three-step process of forgiveness.

So if you're ready to drop the self-criticism and regret that isn't serving you, then this episode is for you!

  • I Agree with Removing Limiting Beliefs
    2023/06/20

You have a belief system (whether you're aware of it or not) and that belief system determines your reality. Hidden in that system are sneaky little (and sometimes big) limiting beliefs that keep you from striving for a better relationship, earning more money, or finally claiming and chasing your dreams. In this episode, I share some limiting beliefs that I've worked through and show you how to do the same with two tools: The ho'oponopono prayer and the process of your thoughts becoming your reality. I give you real examples of the limiting beliefs I once held, and how I worked through them.

    References for this episode are:
The ho'oponopono prayer: I am sorry, Please forgive me, I thank you and I love you
One of my favorite books: Thoughts Become Things by Mike Dooley

Questions for this episode are actually a directive:

    1. Take 3 - 10 minutes to create a list of limiting beliefs. These can be actualy beliefs, and they can also be experiences or memories.
    2. Sit with each belief, feel into it, and then say the ho'oponopono prayer
    3. Continue with this practice for any limiting belief systems you want to release.

  • I Agree with Entirely Falling Apart
    2023/06/13

In the season kick-off episode, I get super vulnerable and deep with where I've been over the last few months, and I share what it looked like for me to entirely fall apart. I had to strip down to the fundamental questions of "Who am I? What am I? And Why am I?". If you've ever lost a loved one, quit a job, and/or had the entire idea of your future shift (I did all three!), then this episode is for you! Not only do I share some very personal moments, but I also look to an incredible example in nature that shows us falling apart into complete ooze is the only way to really transform.

    This episodes questions:
    Who are you?
    What are you?
    Why are you?
