  • Laurie's Lessons - How to sign up 100 front line associates in your network marketing business
    2025/02/04

Set a realistic goal: 100 front line associates is a big number. Break it down into smaller, more manageable goals. Aim for a certain number of sign-ups each month or week.

The most successful people - are people, people….Like when you talk to people just cuz you want to sign them up, people feel that. Now obviously if you want to sign people up - you have to talk to people. Lol but there is a difference - like this week - I had lunch/dinner w 3 different friends - that was purely building that relationship….now do they know what I do? Yes of course - and while I will also get together with people for coffee, lunch or dinner to present and sign them up, I can still get together with people to simply share a meal and conversations outside of network marketing too. You have to learn that balance.

One way I got 100 direct associates - was meeting with people. Now I stay busy with a retired husband and spending time with him and traveling with him, I watch 2 of my grandbabies a few days a week to help our son and his wife out…but I still find time in my schedule - and that is another thing - I do schedule it…I plan to meet with someone at least once a week purely for business, granted we may be friends and we talk personal stuff too, but they know I am meeting them for business and we are either meeting because they are already on my team and we are talking strategically to get them where they want, or we are meeting to sign them up on my team and see if we are a good fit for each other.

Identify your target audience: Who are you trying to reach? What are their needs and interests? Once you know your target audience, you can tailor your message to them. The biggest misconception is people looking for a sales person, or someone saying they are not a salesperson…..And everyone IS a salesperson! You sell your kids or your husband to eat their green beans, right? Ha! You are a sales person. You share with people what you know that can HELP them. You want people who are KIND, and you CARE for other people….those people will be your leaders on your team.

Another way is posting on my social media daily. I post about the product, I will post about the company, I will post about me winning an award or an incentive trip, or someone I signed up, or someone on my team that achieved a level. I will also post testimonials on my pages - whether it is about one of our products or a service, or even a testimonial about me or my personal business - testimonials and stories “sell” - I ask people for testimonials when I work with them, then I share those w others that follow me.

I add to my social media daily - I download my Facebook friends/followers list - I go thru at least 5-10 per day - like, comment on people’s pages to keep in touch/interact but also message people on their birthdays to keep in touch and keep relationships going….and if there is no reciprocal on the relationship - I remove to open for actual relationships. I look for new people to connect with often - I don’t just add people either - I look at their page, see the mutual friends, see their posts - if their posts align with me, or my way of thinking I will add them, same I am probably not going to sign up someone in my business if we don’t align on things - now that does’t mean everything - cuz we are not ever going to have that right - but we do have to align on many things, can still agree to disagree on others - but you want to build a business with people you also enjoy hanging out with - cuz you will at company events, trips etc

Every day I look for reasons to reach out to people. If it’s someone’s birthday, I reach out with a text or a private message on Facebook. I comment on people’s posts daily. I will often send them a private message depending on what they post. I commented on his post but also sent him a private message to congratulate him. My goal is to start conversations.

  • Laurie’s Lessons - 10 Tips On Why You Should Not Post Negativity Or Complain
    2024/12/05

Negativity breeds negativity: Complaining or posting negatively can create a toxic environment and discourage others.

Think about if you just signed up a super excited customer or associate - and then they join the group and first thing they see is something major negative - what do you think that makes them think about their recent decision?

Undermines team morale: A positive and supportive atmosphere is crucial for success. Negative posts can dampen enthusiasm and motivation.

Damages your personal brand: Your online presence reflects on you. Consistent negativity can make you appear unprofessional and unapproachable.

Destroys trust: Complaining about the company or products can erode trust among your team members and potential customers.

Focus on solutions, not problems: Instead of complaining, focus on finding solutions and sharing positive experiences.

Respect the group's purpose: The group is meant to uplift and support each other. Negative posts disrupt this positive environment.

Seek private support: If you're facing challenges, reach out to your upline or mentor privately for guidance and support. ANY negative or complaining (as there WILL be times and situations you have that in ANY company) — needs to ONLY go upline - not downline and definitely not crossline.

Lead by example: Be a positive influence and encourage others to share their successes and celebrate their wins.

Remember the bigger picture: Your success is tied to the success of your team. Focus on building relationships and fostering a supportive community.

Practice gratitude: Shift your focus to the positive aspects of your business and express gratitude for the opportunities you have.

  • Laurie’s Lessons: The Empowering "Out”- The Secret Weapon of Prospecting Champions
    2024/11/19

Have you ever felt like your outreach messages are hitting a brick wall? You pour your heart into crafting the perfect pitch, only to be met with silence or a polite "not interested." Here's the truth: the key to successful prospecting isn't about forcing the close, it's about unlocking the power of the "out."

Imagine this: You're scaling a mountain. You wouldn't attempt the summit without proper gear and a clear path, would you? Prospecting is similar. The "out" is your safety rope, your map, and your compass. It allows you to navigate the terrain of potential customers with confidence and respect.

So, why is the "out" so powerful?

    • It Shifts the Focus: Forget desperate pleas for a sale. The "out" lets you focus on genuine connection. You're not chasing a "yes" at all costs, but rather exploring a potential fit. It creates a more relaxed and collaborative atmosphere.
    • It Empowers You: The "out" gives you control. You're not waiting for someone else's approval. You're proactively seeking those genuinely interested in what you offer. This confidence translates into your communication, making you sound more authentic and persuasive.
    • It Eliminates Resistance: The "out" disarms objections before they even arise. It acknowledges that your offering wouldn't be a perfect fit for everyone. This proactive approach disrupts the typical sales dynamic and fosters a more open conversation.
    • It Qualifies Leads Faster: The "out" acts as a filter. Those who aren't interested will readily opt out, saving you valuable time and energy. It allows you to focus your efforts on those truly intrigued by what you have to share.

How to Master the Art of the "Out":

    • Embrace Transparency: Be upfront about your intentions. Don't mislead with aggressive pitches. Instead, say something like, "Hey, I'm exploring a new product and wanted to see if you might be interested in learning more."
    • Offer Value First: Focus on providing a benefit, even if it's just a conversation. For example, "I'm curious about your experience in [their field]. Perhaps you could offer some insights, while I share a new approach I'm exploring."
    • Keep it Simple: Avoid overwhelming the recipient with a barrage of information. A concise message with a clear "out" is more likely to spark genuine interest.
    • Respect the Response: If someone says no, thank them for their time and move on gracefully. Respecting their decision fosters goodwill and opens the door for future opportunities.

The "out" isn't a sign of weakness; it's a sign of strength. It demonstrates confidence, respect, and a focus on building genuine connections. By embracing the "out," you'll transform your prospecting from a pushy sales tactic into a powerful tool for building relationships and attracting ideal customers. Remember, the journey to the top is easier when you're well-equipped and open to collaboration. So, grab your metaphorical "out" and start your ascent with confidence!

Laurie discussed ten tips to stay motivated in business and life during challenging times. She emphasized the importance of self-care, setting realistic goals, finding a support system, visualizing success, celebrating small wins, taking breaks, limiting distractions, taking action, seeking professional help when needed, focusing on the positive, and remembering one's 'why'. Laurie also shared her personal experiences and strategies, such as creating vision boards, prioritizing physical and mental health, and limiting distractions. She encouraged attendees to apply these tips to their own lives and businesses.

    1. Practice Self-Care: Prioritize your physical AND mental health. Get enough sleep, eat well, engage in activities that relax /rejuvenate you. Go for a walk for at least 15 min/day. Wear your patches for optimum health! My minimums are victory, defend and focus (I normally also wear ignite to burn an extra 400 calories, Lumi for my skin, Peace to stay de-stressed and help gut health, REM to sleep, Rocket during the day)

    2. Set Realistic Goals: Break down large tasks into smaller, manageable ones. This can make them feel less overwhelming, more achievable. Follow a DMO, do at least your minimums DAILY. Have you wrote your goals down? Have you talked w your sponsor or upline about your goals? the more you share them, talk about them, the more your brain will believe them-the better for you to stay motivated to go to work on them - have 10 year goals, 5 year goals, 1 year goals, then monthly goals, weekly goals, what are you committing to daily goals?

    3. Find a Support System: Connect w peers, friends, family, or a support group who can offer understanding & encouragement. Jump on ANY n ALL zoom calls you can - even if they say the same thing, it HELPS your mindset….plus repetitive is learning, the more you learn the more you will earn!

    4. Visualize Success: Imagine your business thriving & achieving your goals. This can help boost your motivation & confidence. Vision boards - I have done this for over 15 years - each year - my desktop is that years vision board, it is SO neat to compare years, see what I have accomplished -it REALLY helps during those times - eve later in life when you get discouraged (cuz top leaders STILL get discouraged, they just may not show it as much - as part of their job is to motivate you!)

    5. Celebrate Small Wins: Acknowledge /reward yourself for your accomplishments, no matter how small. This can help you stay focused & motivated. go back to work quick, but make sure you celebrate!

    6. Take Breaks: Stepping away from your work can help prevent burnout & increase your productivity. One thing I do is every hour I am at the computer - I take at least a 10 min break, get up-walk around, run around etc

    7. Limit Distractions & Take Action: Create a dedicated workspace, minimize distractions to help you stay focused. Turn off all notifications. Take SOME sort of ACTION daily - do a post on socials, message 5 people, add 5 friends to your list

    8. Seek Professional Help: If you're struggling to cope w a tragedy, consider seeking professional help from a coach, therapist or counselor.

    9. Focus on the Positive: Try to focus on the positive aspects of your business, the progress you've made. Write 10 IAM statements-ead them DAILY in the “current state”

    10. Remember Your "Why": Remind yourself of the reasons why you started your business and the impact it can have. This can help you stay motivated even during difficult times.
