  • Find your path to PEACE
    2024/10/04

I hope you aren’t getting sick of me talking about my health incident. It really is the WHY we are connected through this podcast. Before my incident I did a lot of things that were good for me but it was a casual thing. I did the workouts, I ate well, I meditated and read self help books with the expectation that things would go well and that things would be peaceful in my life. Then it all flipped upside down. Two months in the hospital, heart surgery, a near death moment and time in rehab. I couldn't look at my circumstances and derive any peace. That’s why I chose this subject. We live in a tumultuous world. We need to feel that bubble of peace and invest in it every day. It’s important to have a space internally that we can go to for peace because the world outside offers none of it! Listen to this podcast and think about what is keeping you from finding that peaceful place inside. Then follow the steps to nurturing peace in your heart. You won’t regret it!

  • Take a chance on YOU- it will pay off!
    2024/08/16

I want you to think about how little you knew when you went to kindergarten. Going to school was about NOT knowing things and learning how to navigate a sea of things that you had no idea about. That is where growth happens. Then, fast forward to adulthood and the big goal is to be an expert. Not to ask questions but to provide answers. Knowing things is definitely NOT where the growth happens. This episode is about the power of taking chances. They don’t all have to be big, but venturing into the unknown is a way for you to grow and get stronger. What do you need to take a chance on? Anything calling your name? Listen to this episode and then let’s pull the trigger. It’s time for you to go off!

  • Living In Abundance
    2024/08/14

I have learned about the power of abundance (and the absence of it) over the last 16 years. When I expect the best from the universe, it delivers and the same is true when I have a negative mindset and I expect the worst. As I am healing, it’s so important to wake up with a positive expectation. This day is mine and it’s a gift and by the end of the day, good things will happen. When I have that mindset, inevitably, the day delivers exactly what I need.

It seems so silly, and kind of obvious, that your thoughts can be that powerful, but I promise you, what you see in your minds eye are from your superhero era. If you are skeptical, hang up your misgivings and give it a try. You will be pleasantly surprised!

This episode is about what abundance really is and how to capture its essence and bring it into your life. I wish you the best and I can’t wait to hear your stories as abundance transforms your existence. Wahoo!

  • Avoid the Comparison Trap
    2024/08/14

It is the worst thing. At a low moment in your life, you take that moment to hold yourself up to a group of people with one thing in common; they all are doing better in life at THAT ONE THING. Your response is immediate and equally debilitating. You feel awful. You want to throw in the towel. You are convinced you are just fundamentally not good at whatever it is, marriage, business, losing weight, parenthood. If you were so good, why would so many people around you be so successful?

Adults do this, when we are discouraged, for some reason we take that moment to compare ourselves to another person who many have a completely different story (we choose to ignore it in that moment) and but a better outcome. It makes us feel lost, stranded and compels us to think about throwing in the towel.

It’s not a good strategy, It might temporarily give you some inspiration but for most, it makes you feel like you just are the right fit for IT. Comparison is a trap that rarely leads to positive results.

  • Defensiveness= Never Winning
    2024/08/14

    Defensive equals never winning.

I swear this podcast is going to heal me and create the healthiest woman ever! This week was a week for letting my guard down and discontinuing defending myself. Man it was hard and felt awkward and led me to the realization that I have been defensiveness around everyone my whole life. What a waste of energy. I wanted to think of myself as a mature and accomplished person and if anyone suggested that I was different that what I hoped for in my mind’s eye, I put up a wall and walked away, not considering what they were saying to me.

Ken always told me, “I’m not attacking you.” And I didn’t think I believed that in the front of my mind but every time he made a suggestion, that is what I felt! He rarely made a suggestion I couldn’t use and after creating this podcast, I regret how much better I COULD have been if I had considered anything he told me.

I talked to my sister, Betsy, about this podcast and she suggested I look at Gottman’s 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse. I mistakenly thought it was a book but it is this graphic that is packed with good information.

  • My first Podcast! My incident and other stuff
    2024/08/14

Man I did not expect this to happen. But it did. I had a weird feeling in my chest and then fast forward, I had heart surgery, my heart stopped for 15 minutes. I was resuscitated and then found myself with a traumatic brain injury. The last few years have been filled with healing and testing. I am proud to say I am getting better and I see improvements every day. I don’t know how long it will take to “get back to normal” but I. know I’m here to change my life for the better. God took care of my miracle but now it’s my job to live my best life every day!
