As a 17-year old, Jennifer Field was an Olympic hopeful. Her sights were set on world supremacy as an elite equestrian rider. She never even considered her championship life crumbling down. However, that's just what happened. Not only did an auto accident end her lifelong dream, but the subsequent traumatic brain injury left her in a dependent state, having to relearn to walk, talk, eat, . . . Today, Jennifer is blowing the country away in a different arena. She continually spreads awareness with her tale of heroism, hope, and determination by speaking publicly, both on and off stages Furthermore, the author has admirably written her life's story, From Blue Ribbon to Code Blue, and hits home with a heavy dose of inspiration for all who read it. Field has graciously agreed to join our loyal and first-time listeners. The episode will surely leave listeners with something that we all need, especially brain injury survivors--a jolt of self-confidence.

  • Moving Forward with Mark Elswick Premier Episode
    2018/11/14
Veteran severe-TBI survivor, Mark Elswick, brings humor and insightfulness to Brain Injury Radio. In honor of Veterans Day, the premiere episode will be dedicated to the military. His first-ever guest, Tawnya Scott, is the picture-perfect definition of the show's title, Moving Forward. Mrs. Scott's husband was injured while serving his country. He sustained an undiagnosed head injury. In fact, it wasn't until years later when several recurring issues persisted that he was diagnosed. With similar problems facing our vets when they return “home,” Tawnya had a vision in 2012 to help cure the dilemma. Today, her dreams are becoming reality. She started Together For the Good, INC. In a matter of months, Tawnya and TFTG are truly making a differnce.. It is imperative that listeners hear what she has to say as she helps our military hero’s to continue Moving Forward.
