Japan has an elderly population crisis where thousands upon thousands of elderly have no support. They have taken to committing crimes such as shoplifting and selling drugs, to get themselves incarcerated. Guaranteeing medical care, meals, activities and companionship.

With the escalating costs of living in Albuquerque as a single old gal, I wonder what crimes could I commit to get fours years of three hots and a cot.

I did the only things I could think of. Distract myself. There’s no consolation in “wait another four years.” By then who knows what will have happened to my memory.

An intense two days, cross country to NYC to say goodbye to a dear, dear one, I spent time with my most precious people.

We started in the middle of stories and only ran out of time. I suppose we will all run out of time.

What a gift to say thank you and know you've had this amazing, crazy life.

A Fair Weather Fan Watching History

I am not a baseball fan unless it's Cleveland v Yankees: my two towns. I did watch the Guardians lose the American League Pennant to the Yankees and thus their path to the 118th World Series.

I watched Game One of the Series. Yankees v LA (formerly Brooklyn) Dodgers. I saw history made.

It reminded me of a Cleveland-Yankee match up a long time ago. It changed my life.

JD Vance is Not Ohio! The Republican Veep candidate has been throwing shade on MY state and I’m telling you, there are wondrous and surprising things about Ohio.

It is NOT Iowa, for example. Don’t let the vowels fool you. Our Cuyahoga River is so amazing that it runs both north AND south.
