  • Going All In w/Melanie Watson
    2022/06/02

Join us in the episode as we chat with Melanie Watson about going ‘all in’ in life and wellness. In 2021, Melanie opened an actual gym in the midst of Covid to help support the women and men of Midlothian. We chat about the importance of strength, both mentally and physically, and the power of community.

    More about Melanie
Melanie Watson is the Owner of All In Gym in Midlothian and an ACE certified Coach with a background in exercise nutrition. She is a mom to two beautiful girls and a wife to her husband. In 2021, she took a giant leap and opened her own gym in an effort to support the women (and men) of Midlothian as they become stronger and healthier versions of themselves.

  • Creating Community with Felicia Brantner
    2022/05/19

Tune into this episode as we chat with Felicia Brantner, the co-founder of the Ask Midlothian Moms non-profit and Facebook group. We chat about the idea of building community, the history of Ask Midlothian Moms, and how it's evolved into a GIANT giving-back organization.

    More about Felicia
Felicia was born here in the RVA area and left her position with a medical malpractice law firm in Rocketts Landing to become a stay-at-home mother while her five boys (two sets of twins, plus one) were smaller. During that time, Felicia (along with a few others) helped to create and cultivate the Ask Midlothian Moms online community.

Now, Felicia dedicates herself to the community by coordinating annual drives for back to school, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, along with running the Pineapple Pantry for local women and children in need.  This group, along with the now non-profit "Midlothian Moms", is her passion project and life calling.

  • Staycations w/Miranda Anderson
    2022/05/05

Spring is here and summer is approaching which means - staycations! Yes, yes, you'll likely take a traditional vacation or two, but in this episode, I'm chatting with Miranda Anderson about how to plan a staycation with intention. Tune in to hear the questions to ask yourself (and your fellow staycationers) to ensure your own needs are met, some ideas on how to get a vacation-feel in everyday life, and, of course, some of the local spots to add to your staycation list.

    More About Miranda:
As a speaker, teacher, podcast host, and author, Miranda Anderson provides tools and inspiration for women to live a creative, adventurous, and intentional life. Starting out as a lifestyle blogger in 2007, Miranda now offers thousands of weekly listeners of the Live Free Creative podcast something new to think about, feel, and DO as they move toward living the life of their dreams. Miranda lives in Richmond with her husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 6 backyard chickens. Fun fact, Miranda and her husband go on a weekly date night and try not to repeat a restaurant, so they're always trying something new in RVA!
