Most men have struggles with identity at different times in their lives. And it often is visible in the different masks that we wear, one mask at work, one at home, one with friends, and on and on. My guest today is Kalab Johnson and he has a powerful story of how his struggles with identity led him to an affair, which led to his divorce.

But his story does not end there. In giving his life to Jesus, in putting his identity in Christ, Kalab’s marriage was restored. And today, he joins us on the show to share his story, his insights, and other great points we can all benefit from as we work through our own struggles with identity

One of the most important things for a man is to not do life in isolation. It’s critical to have other men who will have your back, men you can do life together with. From celebrating the high points to supporting during the low points, this life was not meant to be lived alone.

My guest today is Theo Zhuang. Times were tough for him as a child, growing up in Venezuela from the age of 3 to 10 as his parents were missionaries, which was a difficult environment for a boy. And growing up as a pastor’s kid didn’t help him during those years, but began his discovery of his own identity, life purpose, and calling.

God brough him through various life experiences, from volunteering, to disaster relief, and in each he had an opportunity to take a giant leap of faith. Learning about himself from the inside out, he realized that he was created with unique gifts that made working as a transformational coach and leading the Noble Father community extremely fulfilling.

In his God-given calling, Theo wakes up every morning with a fervor for life, passionately pursuing his deep-seeded purpose, and building a legacy that he intends to leave behind for generations to come.

One of the issues it seems we all have to work through is the issue of pride. But it can easily sneak into life without us even realizing it. Pride can impact our marriages, our parenting, and every other aspect of our lives.

My guest today is Cody Martin, a man who has been working through this issue over his years. From serving our country in the special forces to everyday life, he shares his thoughts and experiences in dealing with pride.

Cody has been married for nine years only by the grace of God, with five kids ranging from 15 to 3 years old. He has gone to church since he was little but only really accepted Jesus Christ into his life during his first deployment to Afghanistan in 2009. He started military service as a Private First Class in the Minnesota Army National Guard. Next, he attended Saint John's University ROTC and after graduation, earned a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the active-duty army, where he was a field artillery officer until he tried out for special forces. In 2021 he medically retired from the 7th Special Forces Group as a Major and became a Field Skills Instructor as a contractor for the Air Force. Cody has recently created his own business called Chosen Property Management LLC.

Since every man has some challenge with pride, this is an important and critical conversation that we all need to hear.
