Monsters Of The Midwest: Lost tracks from the action sixties! If you dig this kind of obscure music be sure to visit my Monacled Alchemist website for information and details on many unsung heroes.. This episode features twelve choice cuts from sought after 60s garage psych compilation “Monsters of the Midwest volume 3”, a series dedicated to promote the vital mid-states 60s music scene. Monsters of the Midwest Focus on The Teardrops: Hailing from The Trolls stomping grounds, Pueblo, Colorado, must have been a heavy burden. How can you out-cool The Trolls – the grungiest and most bizarre group of fuzzed-out mutants in the State! Wisely, The Teardrops elected not to try, or maybe didn’t care – check out their resplendent nerdiness on the picture sleeve. Hey, Raider boots couldn’t even help ’em! Based upon this single’s weak B-side and their previous two 45s (ultra lame but one has a cool sleeve and is kind novelty / punk) “Sweet, Sweet Sadie” is probably the only strong number they ever did.
