Sometimes in scripture we see passages that are identical from the Bible to Restoration scriptures, when those appear I think the Lord is trying to emphasize to us how important the principle is. For the next few weeks, we are going to be talking about such a topic as we kick off the Armour of God series. You can find both of these passages in Ephesians 6:14-17 and Doctrine & Covenants 27:15-18. In this first episode we focus on girding ourselves with truth. To help me do this Joshua Winchell joins me as he first gives his backstory on how he found his way into the Fullness of the Restored Gospel, from there we move on to talk about the historical context in which Paul writes Ephesians which will shed some pretty interesting light on the scriptures in question. From there we move on to what girding ourselves in truth really means as we explore the idea from a surface understanding going deeper to reveal Temple connections and connections to our posterity. On this episode Braxton Bogard joins me again as we wrap up our two-part series on the need for a restoration. Last week's episode about why we as individulas are in need of being restored back to God. In this week's conversation we look at why there needed to be a restoration of Christ's Church and Kingdom. We take a look into the Ecumenical Councils that would inform the beliefs of both Catholicism and Protestantism. We dive into everything from the Council of Nicaea to the Council of Constantinople and more. As we do so it becomes apparent on how the apostasy occurred and why Joseph Smith's restorative ministry was so needed and vital.

This is part-one of a two-part series on the need for a Restoration. On this episode Braxton joins me (as he will for part two) to talk about the need for a Restoration. In part one Braxton takes us through the scriptures showing us exactly why the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is needed on a personal level.
