Today we wrap up our series on the Armour Of God with this sixth and final episode. Today we take a look at the Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. To have this conversation I had felt to bring on Ammon Jeffs. We start out by discussing what the Sword of the Spirit is and how we as Mormons have a unique and expansive definition of scripture that gives us much more to utilize as disciples of Jesus Christ. From there we move into examples of people who have used scripture to repel attacks from the adversary. After that we then move on to talk about how studying the scriptures helps enter into a revelatory space as we both share personal examples of how that has worked. All along the way taking moments to talk about other principles in the Restored Gospel.

Today we pick up with part five of the Armour of God series. Today Sara Decker joins me as we have a conversation about the Helmet of Salvation. The first place we start is talking about the part of the body the helmet is meant to protect and what this part of the scriptures might be trying to tell us. From there we move on to talk about how to receive the revelation we need to navigate these last days, we talk about the importance of keeping the lines of communication open between us and heaven. We then move into wrapping everything up by talking about how this all fits into the motif of battle armour centering around the helmet of salvation and then finally about how to apply everything we talked about and in conjunction with what keeps us from doing so.

It’s on to part four of our series on the Armour of God. Today Joseph Hammonds as we sit down to have a conversation about the Shield Of Faith. We start off by getting a little bit of Joseph's back story, how he first came into contact with Mormonism then how he made the leap to accepting the Fullness of the Gospel. From there we break down the meaning of the term shield in Hebrew. From there our conversation shifts to what the Shield of Faith guards against, the fiery darts of the adversary. We break what those could be and how the adversary uses them to keep us from reaching our potential, and in this part of the conversation I relate and experience that I don't think I have ever shared before. We wrap this episode all up by asking the questions how we incorporate the Shield of Faith into our discipleship.
