  • As Within, So Without
    2024/03/25
Have you considered that everything you see externally is a manifestation of your inner landscape? Your reality is a physical manifestation of repetitive thoughts and beliefs. If you're not happy with your current reality, it's time to take radical ownership of your perspective and match it with your values and vision for your life. No one will come to your rescue. Only you can decide the life you want and choose to take committed action or continue to live in a space where “other people” dictate your reality. Once you realize there are literal levels to mindset, and you choose which level you want to play on, you won't settle for the levels you're just "passing through" on the way to your vision. Be a maniac on a mission and stay sober of mind, body, and spirit so you're able to hear the call and are ready to take immediate action to move the needle forward. If you're tired of doing it alone and are ready to receive support on your journey schedule a call to see if you're ready for Spiritual Transformational Coaching. https://calendly.com/brittrussell/intro This episode was recorded for the "Too Human Podcast" with Nurse Nell and Me as the guest. • The gift of humility
    2022/12/27

I share a challenging experience that has extracted my shadow of entitlement and self righteousness to forgiveness and self compassion through humility, deep self reflection, and radical responsibility.

Definition of "shadow" per Carl Jung the founder of analtical psychology:

Our shadow self contains our repressed emotions, thoughts, desires, insecurities and fears. Our shadow is the hidden, repressed, and guilt-laden personality whose ultimate ramifications reach back into the realm of our ancestors. (Transgenerational energy passed down until brought to the light, hence the term "shadow")

  • Nurse Nell- Trauma Informed LIfe Coach on Somatic Healing
    2022/12/21

In this episode I talk with Nell about how the mind creates trauma in the body along with tools and languaging to move through difficult emotions and experiences.

Her and I met in 2021 while working together at a skilled nursing facility during Covid. Two life coaches in the medical field meet in a small town in northern California. Divine intervention.

    Books mentioned:

The War of Art by Steven Pressfield

*This book expresses how resistance is a detriment to human creativity and how it shows up in all areas of our life as well as how to put it to rest so you can thrive and become the fullest expression of yourself.

NonViolent Communication: ALanguage of Compassion by Marshall Rosenberg

*Marshall Rosenberg is the inventor of nonviolent communication. He created a language to express needs and values. His work has revolutionized relationships. It offers accountability and personal responsibility with regards to our thoughts and feelings as to not project them onto others yet set ourselves free by becoming aware of what we need and being willing to voice them without shame or guilt.
