Michelle shares her story about how signing up for a 10K race was a catalyst that helped her get out of a deep depression and regain her sense of self after the tragic loss of her son.
She explains that despite being a self-help enthusiast, motivation alone wasn't enough to pull her out of the dark place she was in. It wasn't until she really dug deep and identified her true "why" - wanting to repair her relationship with her young daughter - that she found the drive to make positive changes.
Signing up for the challenging 10K race forced her to focus on her health and fitness in a way that motivation couldn't. The race became a turning point that helped her start getting out of bed, eating better, and ultimately regaining her sense of self.
Running the race and achieving a personal best time was an incredibly emotional and empowering experience for Michelle. It inspired her to become a health and life coach, specializing in helping others, especially mothers, prioritize self-care after loss or trauma.
