Abolitionism was the movement that strove to end slavery in the United States. Whatever you are going through there is a solution. Often we see only the "dark side" as our limited knowledge cannot comprehend anything other than our thoughts and as we can't see nor are we in a good mental state to want to see positive possibilities as we dwell where we are in a morose state. However, life is always full of inexplicably good things that can transform where we are and who we are in an instant or in a short space of time. We then look back and see where we were and we can't often believe that that was "us" then and where we are now.

There is a lot said about death and a lot of scriptual pomp and lies put around about what happens when our lives come to an end. The bottom line is if you believe in God then you'll go to heaven (if you believe that is) otherwise well who knows. And if you don't believe you are a Darwinian or Athiest then you are a mistake so who cares, you'll just end up as bonemeal for next years flowers. If you believe in God and you die at sea or in a fire or eaten by a lion or whatever, then you will still go to heaven.

Our relationship with ourselves (are we happy about who we are), others, and life is holistic; if it gets out of kilter then we become discordant and uneasy and then a whole manner of silly things happen which makes matters even worse. It's important that we understand this because any relationship, if it is to be sound, must have some firm foundations because nothing in life lives in isolation - everything has a part in something else.

Life Bites Series. We all get good fortune and at times not so good fortune thrust upon us, how we react and what we make of it is down to us. We need to aspire at times even if it appears sheer fantasy because that allows our minds to work unheeded and unfettered by logic and material constraints. It can be a bit of a "downer" coming back to the reality of life from our luxurious dreams and aspirations but they are our dreams and our aspirations and they are what they are and are very pride to us also.

Life Bites Series. It is important that we prioritise certain aspects of our lives otherwise we never get anything done or it happens in the wrong way. Similarly we need an agenda too, even if it is just something simple at the back of our mind. It's when we have negative or subversive or hidden agendas or others in their own way do that so to "use" us to further their cause. Those that stroll through life rarely get anything grand done and often wonder how others manage.

Life Bites Series. Happiness should be with us 24/7, even if it isn't at full steam it should be with us otherwise it means we are looking at the darker side of life which will not do. Postponing Happiness is when we chose some other point in life such as a holiday or when the children go back to school or whatever it is so that after that event all will be fine.

Life Bite Series. Being generous is not about wealth, although it could be at times. It is about "giving" of yourself to friends, family and others. It speaks volumes about you and the type of person you are. Giving of your time, experience, knowledge, love, compassion, understanding, listening (an art today as everyone wants to speak), etc. In short helping others.

Life also has many choices and options. Are you making the best of what is available or are you shying away because they don't suite your purpose or maybe require too much of a change that takes you out of your "comfort zone" which is probably the real reason.

It is important to value who you are. It is difficult at times when you are in a dark place and life seems to have no viable solutions as to what to do and where to go - but they are there. It is very difficult too when in that dark place to have any energy because it seems to be sapped out of you because of a lack of impetus and desire. Your mind knows what it wants, the body seems not to care and all one can dream about is to be left alone or waiting for that magic moment when all will be OK and it doesn't arrive.

One has to try and enjoy each day and offer no excuses as to why that can't be accomplished. Granted some days are heavy with certain burdens in life that we have to endure, but making them a feature of our lives is purely for the pathetic and stupid. We shouldn't "Postpone Happiness" either, saying that in the future things will get better or look forward to a future date - even if it is valid in itself. Every day is part of our life and we should, as such, make the best of it and be positive. If we start to make excuses as to why we aren't happy then we are on the slippery slope downhill.

As a race of people the human race has survived because of its need to foster love and friendship among itself. Yes there have been wars and evil religious content because of negative people, brainwashing, and sheer lack of worldly aspects of endemic groups of people. By and large, however, people and communities exist because of a need to feel both needed and to need others, too. Both are different in approach but both stem from the self-same place within.

Our fetishes, our secret desires, private hobbies and likes etc, often that are out of the "norm" or general understanding of pedestrian thought. This can lead us to living a "double life", it can be exciting, it can be cruel, it can be unkind and it can be lonely.
