Attorney Julius Phelps-Felton, a rising star in the Obama County State Attorney’s Office and author of The New York Times best seller Know Your Rights, is tragically killed in a police-involved shooting while trying to defend his fiancée, R&B musician Laura Mae, from being sexually violated by a police officer.
