  • How I Let Trolls Change My Life
    2025/01/29

In this episode, I recount the profound journey of how online trolls have impacted my life and, unexpectedly, became a catalyst for my growth. From the tragic loss of my son Ethan in 2011 and the harsh comments that followed, to going viral years later and facing a tidal wave of both criticism and support, I reflect on how these experiences shaped me.

Through the pain of judgment, shaming, and negativity, I discovered the power of pausing, breathing, and responding with empathy instead of letting my ego or anger take over. I’ll share how I learned to see hateful comments as an opportunity to heal my own unrecognized trauma and to give grace to others who may be struggling with theirs.

This episode is about more than trolls—it's about finding clarity in the chaos, advocating for boundaries, and choosing to live as your highest self. Join me as I read my blog aloud and explore how even the darkest moments can hold unexpected glimmers of light.

  • Change Your Life in 17 Seconds
    2025/01/23

Hi Fram! You may have. noticed I've been stepping back from social media over the past year, and behind the scenes, my phone entirely. a I've noticed how the constant connectivity often fuels my anxiety and distracts from my authentic self. With days or even months passing between my social media checks, I've learned to prioritize my mental well-being and emotional health.

Today I'm exploring how my experiences with going viral brought out both the best and worst of humanity online. Despite that, I've chosen to be an authentic beacon of light, focusing on the positive energy I can share through our framily videos.

I'll share about a fascinating concept I discovered about thought patterns, which suggests that our thoughts can shape our emotions in just 17 seconds. Instead of pushing aside my negative feelings, I've learned to acknowledge and embrace them, allowing my past traumas to be seen and validated. By nurturing my emotional landscape, I’ve found a sense of freedom and healing.

Join me as I read my blog aloud and dive into the importance of setting boundaries with technology, discovering who we are, and giving ourselves the space to feel and heal.

    💛Jenn

  • I Couldn't Do It Today
    2025/01/14

Hi Framily! In today's episode, I open up about my journey with PTSD and the challenges I face in everyday situations, particularly when it comes to driving. After losing my son Ethan in a tragic car accident in 2011, I've grappled with intense panic and anxiety every time I get behind the wheel.

Today, I faced a pivotal moment when my partner Kyle expressed his need for rest instead of joining our youngest, Eli, on a trip to see live camels. With recent events weighing heavily on my heart, including the loss of a relative in a car crash, I felt the familiar wave of fear wash over me. However, instead of succumbing to my old patterns, I chose to honor my feelings and allow Eli to experience disappointment.

Join me as I read my blog aloud, sharing how I navigated this emotional landscape, the importance of allowing our children to feel their feelings, and how we all can support each other through our struggles. Together, we'll explore the idea that sometimes, the best choice for our family is simply to take a step back and exist together in the moment.

    I’m grateful you’re here with me .

  • Christmas Isn't Christmas Anymore
    2024/12/23

Welcome back Framily! This year marks the first time my family and I won't be spending Christmas in Florida, a tradition that has followed us for our entire lives. Growing up as Floridians, Christmas has always been about sun-soaked celebrations, but this year, we felt the need for a change—primarily due to my ongoing journey with PTSD.

Losing our son in a car accident thirteen years ago has shaped my life in profound ways, including intense triggers associated with driving. This year, I chose to prioritize my mental health and seek a peaceful holiday free from panic.

Join me as I recount a challenging day spent driving to Albuquerque to fulfill our children's Christmas wishes. I navigate the anxiety of the trip, the chaos of crowded stores, and the overwhelming sights and sounds that often trigger my PTSD. Through this experience, I reflect on the deeper meaning of Christmas and the importance of being present in the moment, rather than getting lost in the consumerism that often overshadows the season.

This episode is about more than just holiday traditions; it’s an invitation to understand that not all disabilities are visible and the energy it takes to find calm amidst the chaos. Thank you for joining me in my inner world as I share my thoughts on love, loss, and the true spirit of the holidays.

  • I Triggered Him Again...
    2024/12/17

I'm so glad you're here today as I share a recent experience with my partner, Kyle. As many of you know, for much of our time together, Kyle has faced monthly depressive cycles that have often led to triggering moments. As I’ve embarked on my own inner healing journey, I've realized how my ego has influenced my decisions, often steering me away from what truly serves my highest good. Recently, we've made significant strides in addressing these challenges. However, during a recent moment of autonomy on my part, I found myself triggering him again. This time, though, I approached the situation differently. This moment led to a powerful conversation about our experiences and how we can grow from these resets in the future.

Today I share the story and the importance of self-care in relationships, and how nurturing ourselves first creates the capacity to love and support those around us.

I love you and I'm so glad you're here.

  • Reflections in the Mirror
    2024/12/11

Welcome back Framily. Today I'm sharing a personal reflection sparked by something as seemingly simple as...armpit hair! I'm recounting the aftermath of our 30 day VANcation and how, upon our return to New Mexico, I was confronted with a moment of truth— Did I really want to shave? What would others think of my appearance? Despite not feeling bothered by my body hair all summer, societal pressures pulled me back into the cycle of self-criticism.

I found myself questioning the very norms that dictate beauty and self-worth.Why do women feel the need to conform to these standards, while men are often exempt? As I explored the cultural implications of beauty standards, I realized how deeply they infiltrate our self-esteem, often passed down through generations. These expectations tell us we must be thin, perfectly groomed, and always seeking validation from others.

I believe that using life’s little moments as mirrors can inspire profound transformation in our self-worth. Join me as I read my blog aloud, inviting you to embrace the journey of self-acceptance and challenge the societal norms that attempt to define our beauty.

  • I am not my ego, and neither are you
    2024/12/11

In today's episode, I dive into some of the hardest conscious inner work I've ever undertaken. I share my journey of detaching from my ego and the challenges that come with recognizing how many choices in my life have been influenced by it.

Living with a partner who battles depression while I manage my PTSD has created a unique landscape of growth and reflection for both of us. I’ll explain how Kyle's recent solo van trip allowed me space to truly miss him and understand the importance of our individual journeys, and tell you about my dive into Eckhart Tolle's "A New Earth" for guidance. This book resonated deeply with me, illuminating the ways our egos can dominate our decisions and interactions.

This episode is not just about the space we've created in our relationship but also the deeply revealing lessons that have emerged from it. I am so glad you are here as I reflect on how separating ourselves from our egos has been essential for me finding contentment, joy, and peace in our lives every single day.
